I’m so excited to begin this journey of blogging! First, let me introduce myself a bit and then I’ll talk to you about what I’ll be posting about in the near future.
I’m a 26-year-old living in Silicon Valley. I recently received my Master’s Degree in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies with an emphasis in the Russian language at Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey (CA). P.S. Monterey is one of the most astonishing and beautiful places I have ever seen!! Since then, I’ve moved to Silicon Valley for a job at Google. And now I’m searching for happiness. That may sound like a cliché, but I’m pretty sure a lot of people understand my search. And I’m determined to make it fun! (Hence starting this blog.)
As I search for a new and exciting job in a relevant field of my studies, I decided to make a 2017 resolution to start a blog. I am the type of person who loves to write about anything and everything and it usually turns into a stream of consciousness. (Maybe you can sense that already. ;-P ) I’m using this blog to not only talk about my inspirations and where I get them, but also to become a better writer. Hopefully both you and I will see improvement in just that over the course of my posts.
As for the content of my blog… I’m going to talk about things that I love – Instagram inspiration, specific people on Instagram and the internet (where I get my inspiration), fun foods I’ve discovered/made/fell in love with, how much I love coffee (“coffee coffee coffee”- if you get that reference, you get 10 gold stars and a gift certificate to Luke’s Diner… jk, but if I could I would), hobbies that I have (reading, playing games, blogging :P), and a lot more.
To just give you a little hint of my interests and inspirations, here’s a quick blurb about a couple of people I find pretty awesome and super inspiring… Constancelyeating (http://constancelyeating.com/). Her IG (Instagram) stories are awesome and hilarious. I love all the food she makes and how positive and fun she always is. In terms of inspiration for exercise and health (not that Constancelyeating doesn’t have that, but I just am inspired by so many cool individuals) is the Bad Yogi Official blog by Erin Motz (http://www.badyogiofficial.com/blog/). She is also such a positive lady! She just completed a 10 day New Year challenge that was amazing. I recommend checking it out even if you’re new to yoga; they’re quick sessions that are doable at any level! I’ve never felt so flexible and relaxed!
This is a lot to take in right now, I get it. But get excited. This is a lot of cool and fun stuff I’ll be writing about.
For now, just sit back and enjoy the rest of your Monday. I know I have been. 🙂 It’s the start of a new week. You have the power to make it what you want it to be. I chose to sit back, relax, and start a blog at my local Starbucks. It’s honestly a daunting task in my mind, but I’m excited about beginning this awesome adventure with you guys and for myself and starting my week off with an exciting new post!
I know the introduction seemed brief (at least it did to me, maybe, I dunno), so if you wanna know more, just ask! 🙂 I’m doing this for myself as much as I am for all of you!!! Also, any veteran bloggers out there – if you have any advice, send it my way please!
A little reminder for the beginning of the week…
Until next time…
